Beschreibung
Das Konzert Nr. 5 BWV 1050 nimmt in der Geschichte des Instrumentalkonzerts eine besondere Position ein. Bach erhob hier zum ersten Mal das Cembalo vom Generalbass- zum Soloinstrument. So ist der erste Satz mit seiner langen Kadenz für Cembalo eines der längsten und komplexesten Allegri aller Brandenburgischen Konzerte.
Beim sechsten Konzert wird besonders gut deutlich, dass es nach den musikalischen und aufführungspraktischen Möglichkeiten des Köthener Hofes geschaffen worden ist. Die schlichte Ausformung der Gambenstimmen, lässt die Vermutung zu, dass Bach hier dem Wunsch seines Dienstherrn entsprochen hat, bei der Aufführung des Konzerts mitwirken zu können.
Beide brandenburgischen Konzerte erscheinen jetzt gemeinsam mit dem sogenannten „Tripelkonzert“ in einer überwältigenden Einspielung mit dem Ensemble „I Barocchisti“ unter der Leitung von Diego Fasolis auf Hybrid SACD.
