This outstanding recording is probably the best amongst all available “Meistersinger”. The cast is breathtaking and Kubelik manages once again to filter a rich diversity of sound from the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
The original Bavarian Radio tapes have been completely restored, using state-of-the-art 24bit/96kHz-technique. A 100 pages booklet is included.
Arts licensed this recording from the Bayerischer Rundfunk, to which the copyrights had previously returned from the label CaligListe der MP3 Tracks
