Description

In the 19th century the idea of the guitarist-virtuoso was inextricably linked to the Italian music world.

Besides Niccolo Paganini – by far the most famous of the “diabolic virtuosos”, Mauro Giuliani, Luigi Legnani, Giulio Regondi and later Mauro Castelnuovo Tedesco were celebrated masters of their instrument.

“Our” Italian Virtuoso is Edoardo Catemario who is internationally acclaimed to be the heir of the famous historical Neapolitan school – proved by his bravura on this compilation.

“Italian Virtuoso” is released along with Edoardo Catemario’s current tour during which he will perform also at Carnegie Hall on 15th Jan. 2002
