Description
During the late 19th century the Art Nouveau appeared as a very special ornamental style in France and rapidly spread out in Europe: as Jugendstil in Germany and Austria, Modern Style in Great Britain, Moderinsmo in Spain and Floreale in Italy.
The Art Nouveau style influenced the whole cultural way of life and especially found its expression the music of Debussy, Satie, Ravel and others. As the esthetic of Art Nouveau so is the music most charming and pleasing.
Cristina Ariagno is a reknowned specialist for this piano repertoire and devoted her life to the “Savoir Vivre” of Art Nouveau. With great skill she authentically performs the “Reverie” and “Claire de Lune” by Debussy, “Gymnopedie No. 1” and “Gnossienne No. 3” by Satie, “Trois Rag-Caprices” by Milhaud and many other most beautiful pieces by Lili Boulanger, Maurice Ravel, Germaine Tailleferre, Francis Poulenc and Jacques Ibert.
Recorded in audiophile 24 bit / 96 kHz sound this charming CD is accompanied by a beautiful booklet written and compiled by Cristina Ariagno.
