Description

Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, composer of the famous Stabat Mater, was, during his short life, mainly an operist. A comprehensive collection of the symphonies from the operas and other orchestral works is offered in this unique CD which assembles some first ever recordings. The performance is entrusted to the Rome-based Orchestra da Camera di Santa Cecilia, conducted by Alessio Vlad.
