Johann Michael was Franz Joseph Haydn's brother. Even if Franz Joseph remain one of the leading composer of the eighteenth century, Johann Michael's music has a great value and his
vocal pieces as well as his 43 symphonies composed between 1760 and 1790, remain an important achievement in the history of music. ARTS offers at special price three of these symphonies in C major P10 and in D major P11 and P20. The first one is also the most well known even if only a couple of recordings are available and all at full price. Fine orchestral playing and accomplished conducting from Warsaw Sinfonietta and Wojciech Czepiel for a counterpart to Franz Joseph Haydn's symphonies not to be missed.
