Andrea Bacchetti

Born in Genoa in 1977, from a very early age he met and received advice from musicians like Karajan, Magaloff, Berio and Horszowski. He achieved his diploma at the Imola Accademy under F. Scala.

He made his debut at the age of eleven in Milan with the Solisti Veneti directed by Claudio Scimone. Since then he has frequently played in the most prestigious international festivals and concert halls, including Lucerne, Salzburg, Belgrade, Santander, Bologna, Brescia and Bergamo, Turin, La Coruña, Pesaro, Konzerthaus Berlin, Salle Pleyel and Salle Gaveau in Paris; Rudolfinum Dvorak Hall, Prague, Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Teatro Real, Madrid; Mozarteum Brasilero, San Paolo; Zentrum Paul Klee, Berne; Gewandhaus Leipzig.

In Italy he plays with leading orchestras and concert societies. He is a regular guest at the Milan Music Soirées. He plays in duet with R. Filippini and has given concerts with the Prazak Quartet and the Quartetto della Scala. He has recorded for Decca, Sony, Arts, Gallo and Danacord. He is considered one of the leading interpreters of Luciano Berio’s piano works.
