Pavel Kudinov

Pavel Kudinov was born in Dimitrovgrad in Russia in 1973. In 1992 after graduating a music college. He entered the Saratov State Sobinov Conservatory where he studied singing with Prof. Viktor Demidov. He graduated in 1999.
In 1997 he gained a diploma at the National competition “Romanciada-‘99” in Moscow. The same year – still being a student – he joined the company of the Saratov Opera as a soloist. In 2000 he was a principal of the Samara Opera and in 2001 he was principal of the Helikon Opera at Moscow.
In 2001 Kudinov was finalist at the “Competizione dell’Opera” in Dresden and won the 3rd prize, the Public Prize at the Hans Gabor Singing Competition Belvedere in Vienna. In 2004 he won the First Prize of the International Singing Competition “Ferruccio Tagliavini” in Austria. Between 2002 and 2004 he was soloist of the Volksoper Wien. His repertoire includes leading parts of the Russian, Italian and German opera that he performed in the most important European theatres.
