The most famous of all Haydn's Cantatas is here coupled with 6 Canzonettas Hob.26a offered in the italian version. The soprano Jeanne-Marie Bima (see also on ARTS catalogue: Paisiello's Nina - 47166 and Berceuse - 47282) offers a fresh performance of the large cantata "Arianna a Naxos" and the first ever recording of the six Canzonettas in the italian version. Hans Ludwig Hirsch is an accomplished harpsichordist with his unique technique. Shortly appeared in the market at full price under the label Europa Musica, this CD is now offered at Arts' usual special price.
