Two interesting CDs which include the complete sonatas for wind instruments and piano composed between 1936 and 1955 by Paul Hindemith. This is the first organic recording of these important pieces of chamber music and the only available at budget price. The recording involved the best italian soloists and some of the first chairs of the main italian orchestras, altogether with the pianist Massimiliano Damerini, worldwide renewed specialist of the XXth century music. The quality is exceptionally good and the production outstanding. Volume 1 includes the sonatas for flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, horn. Volume 2 includes the sonatas for trumpet, trombone, english horn, alto-saxophone, basstuba.
