Leonardo Leo (1694-1744) was an Italian composer and cellist. His main works were dedicated to the cello and his most well known pieces are by far his 6 Cello Concertos. Arturo Bonucci recorded them for the first time eight years ago, conducting from the cello a chamber orchestra made by the first chairs of the Rome orchestra. Shortly appeared in CD on Europa Musica in 2 CDs box set, Arts offers them now separately with new textes and artwork. Volume 2 includes the last two concertos plus the amazing Concerto for four violins concertanti. This is the only available collection of the complete cello concertos.
